History
The name Mongoose Electric came as a result of owner, Liz Gong's, heritage. The initial name for the corporation was going to be Hmongoose Electric in remembrance of the Hmong (pronounced "Mong") people who immigrated to the United States from the country of Laos. A mongoose was chosen because of its notorious nature for being courageous. If you've ever been a business owner, you know that it takes a lot of courage to step out of your comfort zone to make your dreams happen. The "H" was later dropped from the name to avoid a spelling error confusion. As a result, the name Mongoose stuck and was kept as the official name for the business.
